Apparatus for supplying and pressing tape- or strip-form rubber profiles onto a rotatable tire layer construction drum has a frame-mounted rubber profiling device (6). An endless rotating carrier surface transports shaped material out of the frame, extends in its running direction over two opposite sides of the frame and is controllably drivable about its axis in either direction, as required. Apparatus for supplying and pressing tape- or strip-form rubber profiles onto a rotatable tire layer construction drum has a frame-mounted device (6) for profiling rubber transported through the device. An endless carrier surface, downstream of the profiling device in the material supply direction and running around at least one rotational axis, transports shaped material out of the frame and extends in its running direction over two opposite sides of the frame.
