The unit (1) has two unit parts axially movable against each other, and a spring unit arranged in one unit part. The unit parts are movable to a maximum retracted position against a resetting force of the spring unit and are movable to a maximum extended position by releasing the spring unit. A locking unit (7) is provided for limiting extending movement of the unit parts before reaching the maximum extended position, where the locking unit has two locking parts. The locking unit has a sheet part that is firmly positioned in an area of a bearing lug by using a fastening screw (10).
