The arrangement has a time-continuous sigma-delta converter that includes a quantizer (4), filter structure (3) and a feedback branch. A sensor (1) is arranged between the feedback branch and the filter structure in such a manner that feedback signals of the converter compensate the effect of a measuring quantity of the sensor in a temporal mean. A measurable electrical characteristic of the sensor is changed based on the measuring quantity of the sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method of reading a sensor.
