The system (100) has a fuel cell (101) and energy storage such as a condenser (103). The fuel cell is coupled with the condenser by an electrically conductive connection (104) such that the condenser is recharged by the fuel cell. An inverter (106) is arranged to convert the electrical energy, which is produced by the fuel cell and the condenser. A control unit is provided for controlling the energy storage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an aircraft comprising a power supply system (2) a usage of the energy supply system in an aircraft (3) a method for operating an energy supply system in an aircraft.
