The holder (1) has a profiled outer surface with surface valleys and surface salvages. The snow holder is attached to one of the surface salvages, and includes a snow holding unit (3) for holding back the snow on the cover. The snow holder is designed in such a manner that only an upper side of the snow holder is viewable in a mounted condition. The snow holding unit is designed in such a manner that the snow holding unit can hold back or compress the snow on the surface of covering within two snow altitude ranges.
