Fluid oxygen partial pressure and content measuring and monitoring method involves blowing oxygen and pressure sensors (11, 10) with an aligning medium having different aligning pressures, and measuring sensor signals. Aligning parameters are evaluated from the signals, oxygen content of the medium and aligning pressures based on aligning algorithm. The sensors are blown with a fluid and the sensor signals are converted into measuring values for the oxygen partial pressure and oxygen content of the fluid using the parameters. Alarm or control signals are outputted when the partial pressure and the content fall below or above a given value. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring and monitoring oxygen partial pressure and oxygen content of fluid.
