摘要

The method involves fragmenting analyte-ions in reaction with excited or radical stream of neutral particles (8). The analyte-ions are confined in electro-magnetic fields and irradiated with the neutral particle. The neutral particles are provided in a chamber and are irradiated with the analyte-ions. The neutral particles are excited and are arrived from fast atom bombardment (FAB)-generators. The excited neutral particles have kinetic energies between 1 and 20 kilo electron volts. An independent claim is also included for a mass spectrometer for receiving of fragment-ions spectrum of an analyte substance.
