The seat has a cushion region (3), which serves as a seat surface for a person occupying a seat. The cushion region is displaceable into entry and exit positions. The cushion region lies within a circular edge region (4) of the cushion. The cushion region is raised upwards over the circular edge region by a lifting device that is formed as a shear or pneumatic drive. The lifting device is connected with the cushion region during circular edge formation of cushion region.
