The intermediate teeth positioning element consists of positioning elements applied in pairs to opposing milk molars. A positioning element bridging no more than two adjacent molars of the milk teeth or first dentition has a height that separates the pair of molars of the permanent second dentition by at least 1 mm in the occlusal vertical dimension.
