The vehicle has an electrical traction power system (8) and a main power supply (11) with a load (13), where the power system and the power supply are coupled by a DC/DC transducer (15). The electrical energy is exchanged between the power system and the supply by the transducer. A control unit (17) controls the load such that operating methods that cause energy removal from the power supply are stopped as long as electrical energy is not supplied to the power supply over the transducer, where the removal lies above the pre-determined threshold value. An independent claim is also included for an energy management method for a hybrid vehicle.
