The method involves forming subscriber stations for supporting different radio access technologies, where one of the supported radio access technologies is selected depending on a subscriber station class that is assigned to the subscriber station. Each subscriber station and/or radio access technology specific offset parameter is defined for the subscriber station class for consideration with the selection of the technologies for accomplishing connection establishment. An independent claim is also included for a radio-communication system with a subscriber station and a network-sided input device.
