The method involves applying a bond between a component such as sealant, and a test body, where a surface of the test body turned towards the bond is replicated at the surface of another component such as door carcass, side panel or engine bonnet, turned towards the bond. The test body is designed as transparent for a test signal such as optical signal. The bond is folded by the test body during testing, and contact pressure of the bond is tested by a sensor integrated into the test body. An independent claim is also included for a test body for testing quality of a bond between components.
