The method involves reading out a request code associated with a software program (3, 4) for determining the request. The request fulfills the software program during its execution. A test procedure verifying the request is determined for the request code that is read out from the software program by comparing the request code with a reference request code (8) associated with the test procedure. The request code is read from an executable program code of the software program. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for setting a software program (2) a test generating device for automatic generation of the test for the software program (3) a test library for initiating a test procedure (4) a test system comprising a test generating device.
