Propane dehydrogenation comprises producing a raw gas; compressing the raw gas in a compressor stage; pre-cooling the compressed raw gas in a pre-cooler; cryogenically fractionating the raw gas, removing a remainder gas as product and a feedback stream from the cryogenic unit, its cooling capacity is made available for the cooling of the raw gas, and conducting the feedback stream to the compressor stage. An independent claim is included for a plant for propane dehydrogenation comprising dehydrogenation reactors, the compressor stage (1), the pre-cooler (2) and the cryogenic unit (3), where the cryogenic unit exhibits a discharge (4) for remainder gas as product, is connected with the compressor stage over a feedback line, where the connection is intended for a stream (5), which is fed from the cryogenic unit back into the compressor stage and makes its cooling capacity available in the cryogenic unit for cooling of the raw gas.
