The unit has a flat display screen (1) and cameras (2a, 2b) e.g. digital cameras, arranged at the unit. A signal processing unit (3) in form of a PC is operated so that image or video sequence recorded by the cameras is viewed at the screen. One of the cameras is mounted near to an edge of the screen or within the screen. The cameras are arranged at upper and lower edges of the screen. A lighting unit (4) is arranged directly adjacent to the cameras, and emits strong coherent light. One of the cameras is automatically focused on an object that is operated in a viewing direction.
