The pipeline (2) has a fire protective covering (5) with an insulating layer former that foams under heat effect, where the covering has two fire protective layers (6, 7) that are arranged on both sides of an insulation layer (3). One of the sides of the insulation layer points outwards and the other side of the insulation layer points inwards. The layers are in the form of a winded bandage in a support coated with the insulating layer former, where the layers are directly attached to the insulation layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a pipeline.
