The device has a high temperature resistant ceramic sensor unit (1), which is accommodated in housing part (2), where a passage is laser welded between the sensor unit and the housing part. A laser welded material is positioned between the sensor unit and the housing part. A damping part (17) is provided at the sensor unit for damping vibrations of the sensor unit. The damping part is connected with adjacent sections of the housing part in a laser welded manner. An independent claim is also included for method for production of a sensor device.
