The device has a display component device (A1) that is based on a liquid crystal display, and another display component device (A2) that is based on an active light source (LD) e.g. light emitting diode. A polarization filter (P1) is provided for partially or completely covering the component devices, where the filter is designed as a single piece and provided with a flat surface. Another polarization filter (P2) is arranged on a side of one of the component devices, where the side is opposite to the former polarization filter.
