The collector box (1) has the tubes of a heat transmitter coming out in it. There is at least one connector (2) for the inflow or outflow of a fluid. The box has long walls (1a, 1b), the second of which projects from the cylindrical wall region (2a) of the collector box. At least one curved wall sector merges with the cylindrical wall region to divert the fluid flow through about 90 degrees.
