The system has a ventilating device that is designed as a 3/2-way valve (1) with a valve body and a valve tappet (4). A fuel filter is arranged upstream to a high pressure fuel pump unit and has an outlet. The outlet of the filter is connected with an inlet of the fuel pump unit in a position of the valve. The outlet of the filter is connected with a ventilation discharge (13) of the valve in another position of the valve. The valve has a temperature sensor (3`) for detecting the temperature of the fuel and a valve spring designed as resistance wire.
