The surgical device for connection of a hand piece (1) to a surgical instrument (2). The hand piece has a recess (3) in which a coupling part of the instrument can inserted. At a wall on the inside of the recess (3) a resting recess (4) is provided, with which a fixed bracket (5) can be brought into an interference connection and which is provided at the instrument. The fixed bracket can be brought alternatively by means of a servo-drive (6) providing a bolting position and a release position. The servo-drive is in the form of a servo actuator. The drive is in the form of electromagnets.
