An adsorber filter module, of metal construction, comprises a cylindrical housing shell (1), base plate (2) , an annular double walled filter basket (5,6) and an internal displacement body (10), all of material of the same coefficient of expansion e.g. grade 1.4404 or 1.4571 stainless steel. The basket is welded to the base plate, but no contact with the shell, and is filled with e.g. adsorbent beads.
