A housing for a hand power tool, e.g. an IC engine powered chain saw, has a removable cover plate (1) to enable the air filter to be cleaned or replaced and to access the spark plug. The cover is secured by two elastic locking catches (2). Each catch has a U-shaped end and a clip shaped end and is plastic molded. The U-shaped end clips over a hinge bar while the clip shaped end locates into a grip. The cover is easily removed by lifting the two catch levers, and is replaced by pressing home the catch levers.
