The system has an exhaust gas pipe (2) feeding an exhaust gas stream (40), and an injection nozzle (22) arranged at the pipe and for injection of a reducing agent in the gas stream. A swirl cylinder (32) for swirling of the gas stream in an injection area of the agent is arranged upstream of the injection nozzle in the pipe. A selective catalytic reduction (SCR)-catalyzer (13) is arranged downstream of the injection nozzle.
