The strut has a pressure-medium operated adjusting cylinder (9) with a spring plate (11) supported at a piston rod (7) in a movable manner. The cylinder is supported at a mounting head attached at a vehicle body over a ring-shaped elastomer intermediate body with a mounting flange, which is arranged between the rod and the flange. The head has a passage opening designed in a pressure-tight manner, for the rod. The rod has an elastic joint connection with a spring rate smaller than that of the intermediate body. The connection has elastic joint bodies below and above the flange, respectively.
