The rotor has round rotor plates that are stacked one behind the other in a direction of a rotary axis and including edge recesses (5, 6).The recesses are arranged such that two axes (7, 8) with high magnetic conductivity and lower magnetic conductivity, respectively, are formed within the plates and perpendicular to the rotary axis. The recess (5) is provided with an outer circumference (10) at a cross over position of the axis (8). A direct material connection (12), which is formed by a material bar (11), is provided between the respective recesses and a central bore (3) along the axis (8).
