Use of nucleoside analog as medicament against virus and as cytostatic against cancer to initiate an error catastrophe in the causative agent, where the nucleoside analog is present in 2'-deoxy-form
Use of nucleoside analog as medicament against virus to initiate an error catastrophe in the causative agent, where the nucleoside analog are present in 2'-deoxy-form and have the following modification of the function groups at the positions 1, 2 and 6 in purine, and at the position 2-4, that the positions are modified through a keto, primary or secondary amide group, hydrogen or tertiary amine with a free pair of electrons. Use of nucleoside analog as medicament against virus to initiate an error catastrophe in the causative agent such as 2'-deoxy-iso-guanosine, 2'-deoxy-inosine or 2'-deoxy-5-bromo-uracil, where the nucleoside analog are present in 2'-deoxy-form and have the following modification of the function groups at the positions 1, 2 and 6 in purine, and at the position 2-4, that the positions are modified through a keto, primary or secondary amide group, hydrogen or tertiary amine with a free pair of electrons. Double or triple hydrogen bonds are formed between the two complementary base by tautomerism, where in purine they are cytidine and thymidine, and in pyrimidine they are adenosine and guanosine. ACTIVITY : Virucide; Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
