Gravel comprises broken bricks having a grain size of 8/16, 16/32 or 32/64 mm and a bulk density of 1.80-2.30 g/cm3. An independent claim is also included for the production of gravel comprising selectively crushing broken brickwork in a container using vibrations, rounding off the grains and removing mortar or plaster residues.
