The invention relates to a low-beam headlight with at least one light module, the individual light module having at least one light source and at least one primary lens connected downstream of the light source, and the light source being a luminescent diode. For this purpose, the low beam headlight has at least one secondary lens, which is optically connected downstream of the primary lens or the primary lenses. Both the primary and the secondary lens have at least two lens segments arranged one above the other. In addition, at least one lens segment of the primary lens and the lens segment of the secondary lens assigned to it lie outside the optical axis of the light module. With the present invention, a compact low-beam headlamp is developed, the light distribution of which has a clearly defined hot spot, the luminous intensity of the illumination decreasing steadily towards the basic distribution.
