The device has a track maintaining brace (17) with a vehicle body sided track maintaining articulated brace joint (18) rotatably supported at a support frame, which is arranged at a vehicle body or at a suspension sub frame (6) by a guidance unit. Movement of the track maintaining articulated brace joint consists of hub movement and transverse movement, where a portion of maximum transverse movement lies in a range of zero to twenty percent. A controllable actuator is arranged between the guidance unit and the support frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for adaptive adjustment of a vehicle body sided guide link per wheel side of a multi guide rear axis for changing of toe-in in stationary or during vehicle operation.
