The method involves loading audio data for all available language versions into a non-volatile memory e.g. flash memory, of a navigation system. The unnecessary data in the memory is deleted according to language selection, where the deletion of the unnecessary data is performed within a service selection menu or by an infotainment-bus system provided in a vehicle. A storage area, which is utilized for intermediate storage of languages, is defragmented after the deletion process.
