The contact unit (1`) has a connecting section (3) for receiving a core of a cable (5), where the contact unit is made of a non-ferromagnetic material. A connecting unit (18) produces an electrically conductive connection between the cable core and the contact unit, where the connecting unit is made of non-ferromagnetic and/or electrically non-conducting material and is electrically isolated from the contact unit. A contact guiding unit (7) is provided for use of the contact unit as a socket unit.
