The damper has a sub-functional section e.g. damping unit (102), exhibiting a metal cushion made of wire mesh, where the metal cushion exhibits coated wires and/or plastic fibers. The sub-functional section is formed circularly, where the sub-functional section exhibits approximately a rectangular or square cross section. Another sub-functional section e.g. inner ring (104) and outer ring (106), is provided for fixing an injector with respect to a cylinder head, where the damper is formed as a multipart structure.
