The opener has a drive unit (8), where a spring pre-tensioned door latch (7) is power-operatedly released from a locking plate (6) by the drive unit. The drive unit is formed in such a manner that outer interference is adjusted by the locking plate for releasing the door latch against spring pre-tensioning. The door latch latches in the locking plate during closing of a door (1) by the pre-tensioning, and the drive unit has an actuating unit for adjusting the door latch. An independent claim is also included for a door actuating system for power-operated opening and closing a door.
