The roller drive mechanism for rollers of a paper machine, comprises two drive lines (4, 5) parallelly arranged with respect to the power transmission of the drive, a combined drive unit (6), two inputs and an output, which are connected with a drive line and a driven roller (7) respectively or gear-shiftable with the drive line and the driven roller respectively, and a single motor (1). The parallel drive lines are driven together by the motor by a differential gear (3) for splitting the driving power flux to the drive lines. The roller drive mechanism for rollers of a paper machine, comprises two drive lines (4, 5) parallelly arranged with respect to the power transmission of the drive, a combined drive unit (6), two inputs and an output, which are connected with a drive line and a driven roller (7) respectively or gear-shiftable with the drive line and the driven roller respectively, and a single motor (1). The parallel drive lines are driven together by the motor by a differential gear (3) for splitting the driving power flux to the drive lines. One of the drive lines comprises a torque adjustment device in the differential gear. The torque adjustment device comprises components such as torsional elastic shaft, disk or tube, hydrodynamic clutch and hydrodynamic converters or is designed as such components. The drive lines are implemented in the form of straight or U-shafts. The combined drive unit is provided with two inputs for uniting the driving power flux of the two drive lines. A cut-out clutch in the form of a friction clutch or a compensatory clutch (2) in the form of a toothed clutch, is intended in the drive connection between the drive motor and the differential gear. The roller drive mechanism is free of gears. The combined drive is directly connected to an axial end of the roller in which a suspension tube (8) is intended for medium tubes for feeding and/or discharge of liquid and/or gaseous media in or out of the roller.
