Tool measurement and adjusting device has a sensor unit (10) for simultaneously measuring a parameter, such as width of round edges, of a profile in two spots of a tool cutting edge (14). An arithmetic and logic unit (16) enables two dimensional representation of the edge depending on the measured parameters. A control unit (18) moves the sensor unit into different seating angles. A lighting unit (22) lights the edge.
