The device has a chute (1) and a rotating element (2), which is arranged in a pivoting manner and extends over entire length of the chute. The ice cubes are transported along the chute during rotation of the rotating element in a pivoting mode (4). The ice cubes are separated during the rotation of the rotating element in an opposite pivoting mode (5). The rotation of the rotating element is controlled by a control unit, where the rotation in the opposite pivoting mode is carried out at fixed intervals. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for producing and supplying ice cubes.
