The device for plasticizing and injection of a material into a molding tool, comprises through-rod cylinder (28) intended between plasticizing units and injection units, and a piston rod (31), a differential lock valve, a pressure-reducing valve and a container. The cylinder spaces can be optionally hydraulically blocked or hydraulically inter-connectable among one another (free wheeling mechanism). The plasticizing unit (1) and the injection unit (2) are connected one another over melt lines (3). The differential lock valve is attached to the pressure-reducing valve. The device for plasticizing and injection of a material into a molding tool, comprises through-rod cylinder (28) intended between plasticizing units and injection units, and a piston rod (31), a differential lock valve, a pressure-reducing valve and a container. The cylinder spaces can be optionally hydraulically blocked or hydraulically inter-connectable among one another (free wheeling mechanism). The plasticizing unit (1) and the injection unit (2) are connected one another over melt lines (3). The differential lock valve is attached to the pressure-reducing valve. The one end of the through-rod cylinder is fastened to the injection unit and to the plasticizing unit. The piston rod that projects from the oppositely-lying end of the through-rod cylinder is fastened to the plasticizing unit and to the injection unit. The cylinder spaces of the through-rod cylinder can be connected with freewheel or can be blocked among one another (differential lock) over hydraulic lines and the differential lock valve with the free-wheel. The container is intended, in which the leakage oil can be discharged from the differential lock valve. The melt lines are designed as hot channels. A traversing cylinder (19) for carrying out the procedure and a path-measuring system to record the position of the device are intended. Traversing cylinder(s) are intended with a pressure sensor for recording the nozzle contact pressure exerted by the traversing cylinders. A hydraulic control block that is assigned to the through-rod cylinder is intended with a differential lock valve and that the differential lock valve can be actuated by a controller as a function of the signal from the path-measuring system and from the pressure sensor.
