The sectional door has a stationary, electric drive (3), whose drive axle opens and closes a movable door sheet (4,9,25). Multiple door sheets are provided, which are connected together by hinges and are pivoted by roller (6) at laterally running guide rails (5), which has two straight sections (26,28). The sections are connected by an arch (27). One door sheet is connected directly or indirectly by a branch (1) and another door sheet is connected by other branch (2) of a power transmission medium. Both the branches are provided with a device by tightening the power transmission medium.
