The device has a vibrator (8), e.g. a compressed air roll vibrator, for vibrating a filter (3). The vibrator is arranged in an external housing (26) and completely enclosed by the housing, such that that a compressed air inlet (28) is passed through a wall of the housing for supplying compressed air to the vibrator (8). The external housing (26) is formed for sound absorption of noises of the vibrator. The housing has a set of air outlet openings (52) for conveying the exhaust air of the vibrator from the housing.
