The device has a pressure control valve (10) connected with a gear pump (6) to adjust a control pressure of a control unit (11). An adjustable control valve mechanism is provided between the valve and the control unit to open or close a hydraulic line (L2). The control valve mechanism, the line and the control unit are formed in a pressure-tight manner, and the hydraulic pressure is maintained above a level for a predefined time period. The hydraulic pressure rises depending on the control pressure, and the control unit (11) has a filling level greater than a predefined threshold value.
