The flap module, to shroud the vehicle fuel tank filler cap, has an aluminum flap lid (12) and a carrier structure to secure the module to the bodywork (18). The carrier has a hybrid structure with a plastics sub-structure (16) with an aluminum cover (14). The flap has two aluminum sheets (20,22), flanged together.
