The device has a modifying device for modifying attenuation factor received and determined from a user equipment (40a). A transmitting device transmits the modified attenuation factor to the user equipment for adjusting transmission power spectral density of the user equipment by using the modified attenuation factor. The modification of the attenuation factor is based on reference attenuation and reference frequency. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for adjusting transmission power spectral density of a user equipment of a communication network (2) a computer program with a program code for implementing a method for adjusting transmission power spectral density of a user equipment of a communication network.
