The joint (4) has a part (1) and another camera-retainer part (2) swivel able to the former part, which implements pivoting with two degrees of freedom. A device receives the orientation of the latter part opposite to the former part after each closed lagging. The device defines a direction of motion for one of the degrees of freedom and another direction of motion (U,D) orthogonal to former direction of motion for another degree of freedom and divides a pivoting over two degrees of freedom functional in motion along the directions of motion. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying a camera.
