The method involves producing medical image data of patients (18a, 18b) for setting a medical diagnosis, and collecting diagnosis correlating data of the patients for verification of the diagnosis. The verified diagnosis is stored as medicinal reference image data based on the verification data. The image data corresponding to other image data of the patients are stored for an image-based clinical study. The reference image data are evaluated for producing study information of the patients.
