The device (1) has an elastic squeegee cutter (4) forming a doctor blade (5). The device is pivotably supported with respect to a color deck roller (2), so that the doctor blade is brought into mechanical contact with the surface of the color deck roller for cleaning. The squeegee cutter and/or the doctor blade is profiled or formed convexly towards surface of the color deck roller along squeegee cutter length in a pivoted condition.
