Diesel engine controlling method for use in partial-load operational range, involves specifying correction value as function of control parameter, measured air-mass and lambda value, and utilizing desired engine torque as parameter
The method involves adjusting an exhaust gas relevant operating parameter depending on a control parameter (M-soll) of a diesel engine (10). The exhaust gas relevant operating parameter is air mass (mL) of the diesel engine, and the control parameter is associated with a correction value (d-M-soll). The correction value is specified as a function of the non-corrected control parameter, a measured air-mass (mL-mess) and a measured lambda value. A desired torque of the diesel engine is used as the control parameter. An independent claim is also included for a control system for controlling a diesel engine in a partial-load operational range.
