The hinge has two hinge arms (6, 4) connected with a door and body column of a motor vehicle, respectively. Fluid chambers are provided in the arm (4) and are separated from each other by a separating unit (54), where the chambers are coupled with a hydraulic switching circuit. A cylindrical housing (16) is provided at the arm (4), and the separating unit is rotatably arranged in the housing. A partial cylindrical rotatable body (26) is supported in the housing, and is rotatably connected with the arm (6). Each chamber is limited by sections of the housing, rotatable body and separating unit.
