Base station components synchronizing method for universal mobile telecommunications system, involves determining phase difference and time difference between transferred clock signal and reference clock signal
The method involves forming a local clock signal (CLK) and a frame on a side of a component (REC). The clock signal and the frame are transmitted to another component (RE) under the use of synchronized transmission with predictable delay. A reference clock signal (GPS) is received at a side of the latter component, and a phase difference (PDIF) and a time difference (TDIF) between the transferred clock signal and a reference clock signal is determined. The phase difference and the time difference are transmitted from the latter component to the former component.
