The device (10) has a magnetic coil system (1) arranged outside a body (5) and provided for generating gradient fields. A magnetic body (2) is movable through the gradient fields in an inner side of the body. A part of the magnetic body executes a periodic translative movement and introduces impact forces on a tool (3) e.g. nail, where the forces ensure a propulsion of the tool. The magnet body is designed as a single-piece. An independent claim is also included for a wirelessly magnetic body navigatable by a magnetic coil system.
